Elementary School K-5

We are made in the image and likeness of God and each individual is incredibly unique.  There is only one of you in the world.  Have you ever wondered why schools seem to agree that only those who excel at math and English are intelligent?  This is a narrow attitutde and many students flourish when they are able to use their unique abilities in the classroom.  It would seem wise to say that if a talent or behavior is of value to society, the person should be considered as being intelligent or gifted.  We believe that intelligence should be considered as multidimensional.  Tabernacle has worked to broaden the concept of intelligence, because we are convinced that Jesus would expect us to do this.

At Tabernacle School we are excited to offer an education that integrates a Biblical worldview into a strong academic program.  Elementary students start each day with pledges, prayer, and Bible class.  All students have weekly chapel where they are encouraged to participate with songs, speakers, and special events.  The curriculum at Tabernacle School is designed to achieve our Expected Schoolwide Learning Results (ESLRs).  Core subjects include: Bible, reading, language, spelling, math, science, and social studies.  Our textbooks are written by Christian publishers which inclue The Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), Bob Jones University Press, and ABeka Book.

Our core academics are taught in the classrooms by qualified educators that love children.  Please refer to our Scope and Sequence pages below for a detailed listing of content by grade level.

We are dually accredited by the Association for Christian Schools International and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Each year our students test and rank nationally through the Stanford Achievement Test (SAT).
